About Us
Hazelman Farms grew out of Rocky Hazelman’s small family farm and computer workshop in West Milford, NJ along with his determination to improve crop and technological outputs. Through his years of developing the Internet and digging in the dirt, Hazelman Farms has grown in a number of ways.
We currently own and manage 70 acres of mixed wooded and field crop areas. In 2016 we teamed up with National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to cut pockets of the property in consideration of the Golden Winged Warbler. Since the project the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) has found an increased population of birds across the property.
Pasture Raised Chickens for Brown Eggs is our largest focus on the farm. With over 700 chickens we produce 45 dozen eggs daily. Eggs are sold fresh from our small farm stand.
Seasonally we grow fruits and vegetables. The raspberries are in bloom and some of the tomatoes and the corn is already planted. We’ll update the site as fresh crop are available throughout the season.
Maple Syrup gets made in the early spring. We are currently increasing our capacity to produce more and expect to bring 10-20 gallons to market in 2019.
